Job Overview

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for responding to quote requests, determining the best method of shipment, and ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution for all parties.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and track freight shipments, data entry, and basic accounting practices for our Enterprise clients.
  • Generate shipment quotes and determine the best method of shipment.
  • Check on statuses of loads regarding pickup and delivery date and time.
  • Contact receivers for delivery appointments dates.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customer and carrier interactions.
  • Investigate, open, and manage carrier issues, and follow up with all internal personnel to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate issues, such as late or missed shipments, using subject matter expertise.
  • Maintain the highest level of profitability, carrier satisfaction, and support.
  • Communicate with internal sales people regarding all aspects of the supply chain process.
  • Recommend solutions to streamline processes and improve transportation costs and service to our Enterprise clients.
  • Participate in the quarterly review process by providing meaningful feedback, information, and metrics.
  • Develop and maintain solid carrier relationships, work with carriers as needed to improve client service.
  • Act as a leader, providing direction and support to other employees.
