About the Role:
The Senior Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role responsible for both client retention as well as growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value delivered by Gartner's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Quota Management: Meet or exceed sales targets for contract value within a designated territory of major client accounts.
- Sales Methodology: Master and consistently execute Gartner's sales methodology to drive sales growth and customer engagement.
- Account Planning: Develop and execute account plans to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Forecasting: Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management to drive sales growth and customer engagement.
- Competitive Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity to drive sales growth and customer engagement.
- Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of Gartner's products and services to drive sales growth and customer engagement.
Requirements:
- Experience: 8-15 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology (services, software, or consultative environment), with evidence of prior success in Sales.
- Skills: Strong demonstration of intellect, drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
- Client Relationships: Proven experience building excellent client relationships at C-level within large enterprise organizations.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree - desired.
