Job Overview

Position Details:

Shift: 1st shift (Monday-Friday, 7am - 3pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to machine vision systems, ultrasonic welding machinery, automation systems, hot plate weld assembly, pressure decay testing, high voltage dielectric testing, and hydraulic/electric molding equipment.
  • Take charge of the automation components within our manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with plastic process engineers to identify challenges, troubleshoot, and enhance injection molding machinery.
  • Boost production efficiency while adhering to existing quality standards and maximizing uptime.
  • Implement programming modifications as necessary for ongoing improvements and the introduction of new product systems.
  • Ensure the validation of equipment calibration protocols.
  • Revise and develop equipment calibration documentation.
  • Create and update electrical schematics as needed.
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety regulations applicable to the workplace.
  • Comprehend and follow safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
  • Strong verbal, written, and computer communication skills.
  • Extensive electrical knowledge paired with a solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues related to electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in commissioning and diagnosing equipment using relevant software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of robotic control systems.
  • Capable of making significant source code modifications for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics related to existing machinery.
  • Familiarity with network topologies, protocols, and associated equipment.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and documentation abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Experience with MS Windows environments.
  • Understanding of Autodesk Electrical and RS Logix.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; Technical School education preferred.

Compensation:

$37.13 per hour
