Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at In-Finite Search Solutions. As an Automation Systems Integration Specialist, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of automation systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop automation systems that meet client requirements.
  • Develop and implement electrical and pneumatic schematics for industrial control panels.
  • Design and write PLC programs that interact with various subsystems, including conveyors, robots, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Implement control systems for safeguarding robots and other manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.
  • Design aesthetically simple HMI screens for complex machinery, providing sufficient feedback for troubleshooting.
  • Manage electrical cabinet builds, field wiring, and pneumatic plumbing.
  • Select and size electrical and electromechanical components.
  • Introduce automated processes into production and train customer maintenance and production teams.
  • Create machine interactions with plant-wide manufacturing execution systems to communicate machine status and process variables.
Requirements
  • Experience with process integration and electromechanical/mechatronic systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical standards, including NFPA79, National Electric Code, and UL508A.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, including ANSI/RIA15.06 and OSHA.
  • Knowledge of PackML and IEC 61131 is a plus.
  • Experience with PLCs, including Beckhoff, Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and RSLogix 5000, Omron.
  • Safety PLCs, including Allen Bradley ControlLogix, SmartGuard, and Beckhoff.
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI/GUI) experience, including LabVIEW, AB PanelView, FactoryTalk, and Ignition.
  • Industrial Ethernet communications between machine PLCs and database systems.
  • Experience in programming PLCs, with a well-defined methodology for maintaining code structure and organization.
  • SQL databases and Power BI experience.
  • AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Fusion PLM experience is desired.
  • Selecting appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, and robots.
  • Creating detailed electrical and pneumatic schematics in CAD.
  • Exposure to a wide variety of production machinery, industrial sensors, and equipment.
  • Experience creating technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment is a plus.
  • Experience transitioning products and processes from prototype to production is desired.
  • Knowledge of production quality metrics is a plus.
  • Ability to use 3D CAD packages, such as SolidWorks, is a plus.
Qualifications
  • BS Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) degree.
  • 5 years of experience as a hands-on Controls Engineer or Applications Engineer working on industrial automation control systems.
