As an Automation Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with Amada Automation Systems, including essential machinery. Your responsibilities will encompass installation, maintenance, operational training, networking, programming education, and software instruction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, as well as networking.
  • Ability to accurately interpret layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Completion of daily service reports and weekly expense documentation.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on follow-up.
  • Overseeing the entire equipment installation process at client locations, which may involve the use of hand tools and physical activity such as climbing, bending, and stooping.
  • Proficient in operation, applications, software, and part programming, along with providing customer training.
  • Utilization of Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
  • Regular travel within designated territories is required.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered a plus.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
  • Directly reports to the Regional Service Manager.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A four-year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a two-year degree with relevant work experience is preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, Volt/Ohm meters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with computers and Windows operating systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Accountability and responsibility for servicing and supporting customers throughout their ownership experience.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Routine travel within assigned territories, with occasional overnight stays.
COMPENSATION: $30.00 per hour
