POSITION OVERVIEW: We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to enhance our finance department. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial documentation while executing a range of accounting responsibilities. The Senior Financial Accountant will collaborate closely with the finance team to uphold compliance with established accounting standards and organizational policies. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the capacity to work autonomously as well as in a team-oriented, dynamic setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and document journal entries along with comprehensive analyses.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial records to detect and rectify discrepancies or variances.
  • Facilitate the monthly closing process and ensure adherence to deadlines.
  • Generate monthly and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Guarantee compliance with accounting protocols and internal controls.
  • Assist in the formulation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Engage with both internal and external parties to compile and present financial data for audits or assessments.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of financial systems and processes aimed at enhancing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and/or establish operational processes and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of experience in a General Ledger Accountant role or similar position.
  • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and accounting practices.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and effective task prioritization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.
