Position Title: Partnership Development Manager

Department: Partnerships & Events (MarCom)

Reporting To: Director of Partnerships & Events

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Partnership Development Manager (PDM) plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth for Visit KC by acquiring new partners, renewing existing partnerships, and enhancing marketing opportunities. The PDM is responsible for building and maintaining robust relationships with all partners while supporting initiatives that elevate and enrich the Visit KC partnership experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and maintain membership sales, ensuring retention of over 800 member accounts and exploring opportunities for membership tier upgrades.
  • Design and implement strategies, programs, and special events to effectively showcase the advantages of partnering with Visit KC.
  • Oversee the communication calendar for partner emails, web content, and direct mail to inform partners about events, renewal timelines, and educational resources.
  • Engage in community and industry gatherings to promote partnership acquisition, service enhancement, and retention efforts.
  • Expand the network of qualified prospects through proactive business development and strategic partnerships, utilizing various communication methods.
  • Evaluate partner benefits packages to identify best practices and optimize partnership levels and offerings.
  • Ensure ongoing management of partner satisfaction by addressing daily inquiries from all partner accounts.
  • Support Visit KC events, including key initiatives and networking opportunities.
  • Devise innovative strategies for service enhancement and revenue generation with partners.
  • Document all communications with prospects and partners in Visit KC's CRM system.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the Director of Partnerships & Events regarding any service-related issues or concerns.
  • Manage special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, along with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in consultative services, sales, or a similar area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
