POSITION SUMMARY:

The Partnership Development Manager (PDM) plays a crucial role in driving revenue for Visit KC by acquiring new partners, renewing existing partnerships, and enhancing marketing opportunities. The PDM is responsible for fostering robust relationships with all partners while aligning with organizational goals that benefit and elevate Visit KC partners.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and maintain new and existing membership sales, ensuring the retention of over 800 member accounts and exploring potential upgrades in membership tiers.
  • Design and implement strategies, programs, and special events to effectively convey the advantages of partnering with Visit KC.
  • Oversee the messaging calendar for partner communications, including emails, web content, and direct mail, to inform partners about events, renewal timelines, and educational benefits.
  • Engage in community and industry gatherings to promote partnership acquisition, service delivery, and retention.
  • Expand the pool of qualified prospects through proactive business development and strategic partnerships, utilizing in-person meetings, email outreach, video conferences, and phone calls.
  • Evaluate partner benefits packages to identify best practices and optimize partnership levels and offerings.
  • Ensure ongoing and proactive management of partner satisfaction, addressing daily requests from all partner accounts.
  • Support Visit KC events, including but not limited to major annual gatherings and networking opportunities.
  • Innovate new strategies for enhancing service delivery and revenue generation with member partners.
  • Document all communications with prospects and partners in Visit KC's CRM system.
  • Maintain open communication with the Director of Partnerships & Events regarding any potential service issues or concerns.
  • Manage special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in consultative services, sales, or a similar domain; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
