The GW Medical Faculty Associates, formed in July 2000, operates as a non-profit, physician-led organization and represents the largest independent medical practice in the Washington DC metropolitan area, boasting over 750 healthcare providers. These professionals deliver comprehensive patient care across 52 medical and surgical specialties, while also serving as educators and mentors for medical students, residents, and researchers, thus upholding a rich tradition of academic excellence and healing. The MFA maintains a strong partnership with The George Washington University and the GW Hospital, along with active referral relationships with numerous local hospitals.

Role Overview:

This senior-level position is pivotal in conducting high-level analyses and generating reports on the financial operations of the university and MFA. The role supports financial analysis, trend identification, and forecasting for the enterprise, alongside strategic financial planning initiatives. The incumbent will provide operational leadership in reporting, analysis, forecasting, and monitoring complex financial data across multiple units. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial records through the month-end closing process, preparing journal entries, and supporting year-end audits by compiling necessary documentation. The position also involves performing reconciliations and collaborating with relevant personnel to resolve discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and reporting.
  • Lead the month-end closing process and prepare journal entries.
  • Support year-end audits by preparing assigned documentation.
  • Perform reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
  • Utilize existing data sources to fulfill extensive reporting requests.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, complemented by a minimum of 5 years of pertinent professional experience, or a Master's degree in a related discipline with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The degree must be obtained by the start date of employment. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • Experience within the healthcare sector is advantageous.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $93,000 to $127,910.05.
