Riddle Village, a premier lifecare retirement community, is currently seeking Part-time Dining Room Attendants to enhance our dining services team. SHIFT: 4:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday - Saturday and 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Sunday. This role requires availability every other weekend.

About the Dining Room Attendant Position:

The Dining Room Attendant will:
  • Communicate the daily menu options to residents and serve meals with a high level of customer service, ensuring resident satisfaction. This role also involves maintaining a clean and inviting dining area.
  • Welcome residents and guests, providing information about menu selections.
  • Take food orders from residents and guests, assisting with meal choices as needed.
  • Present meals to residents and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Address residents by name and familiarize yourself with their preferences regarding food and beverages.
  • Remain attentive to residents' needs and address any concerns, such as food preferences or service issues.
  • Clear tables after residents have finished dining.
  • Bus tables post-meal and reset them as they become available.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must enjoy smiling and creating a positive atmosphere.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must have a genuine interest in working with seniors.
  • Must be able to work efficiently under pressure, organize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess a strong sense of timing and understand how to apply it within a serving context.
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining professionalism throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk short distances, stoop, and reach for food. Must be able to lift food and equipment and adapt to temperature changes when accessing coolers and freezers.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS VARY BUT INCLUDE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
