Role Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying, addressing, and mitigating cyber threats to the organization. This position collaborates with a managed security service provider (MSSP) to enhance incident response and forensic capabilities.

Technical Environment:
Utilizes a variety of technologies including DLP, DNS, IPS, proxies, SIEM, and endpoint security for effective incident management and threat detection.

Key Duties:
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents of varying severity, working closely with IT and business units.
  • Maintain and enhance skills necessary for developing actionable intelligence reports.
  • Support the detection, response, and reporting of cyber threats while assisting in process automation.
  • Conduct threat intelligence gathering and analysis.
  • Help develop detection criteria and improve monitoring capabilities.
  • Engage in incident response activities and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in incident response, information security, and IT.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
  • A degree in a technology-related field is preferred, or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Professional security management certification is a plus.
  • Foundational understanding of incident response protocols and information security principles.
