About the Dining Room Attendant Position:

The Dining Room Attendant will:
  • Communicate daily menu options to residents and serve meals with a high standard of customer service, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Welcome residents and guests, informing them of available menu choices.
  • Take food orders and assist residents with meal selections as needed.
  • Present meals to residents and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Address residents by name and familiarize yourself with their food preferences.
  • Remain attentive to residents' needs and address any concerns regarding food or service.
  • Clear tables once residents have finished dining.
  • Bus tables after meals and reset them for the next guests.
Job Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have a friendly demeanor and enjoy smiling.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Interest in working with the elderly is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong sense of timing and ability to apply it in a serving context.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining professionalism.
  • Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, walking short distances, bending, reaching for food, and lifting items as necessary.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS VARY BUT INCLUDE EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
