Position Overview

Anera seeks a seasoned and passionate International Grants Director to lead our grants management function. This role is crucial in ensuring the continued funding and successful operation of Anera's impactful programs across the Middle East. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in international grant accounting, financial reporting, and donor compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the grant proposal process, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and Anera's mission.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with funders, fostering long-term partnerships and exploring new funding opportunities.
  • Oversee all aspects of grant management, including contract compliance, financial reporting, and budget monitoring across diverse programs.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of grant agreements and government guidelines to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with program teams to monitor spending, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and maintain robust systems and processes for efficient grant management, enhancing organizational capacity and transparency.
  • Serve as a key liaison between programs, development, finance, and monitoring & evaluation teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated commitment to Anera's mission and values.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in grant accounting and financial reporting for international organizations.
  • In-depth understanding of U.S. federal OMB, FAR, and USAID regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in grant management within the non-profit sector.
  • Experience working with international development organizations in the Middle East or similar regions.
  • Fluency in Arabic is a significant asset.
