Position Overview

The United Nations Foundation is pivotal in promoting global health initiatives, partnering with diverse sectors and regions to foster advancements in health objectives.

The Finance and Grants Senior Manager for Global Health is tasked with overseeing financial operations, grant reporting, and strategic project evaluations. This role works closely with the Global Health team and other organizational departments to ensure seamless finance, operational, and grant functions.

This position is based in Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight
    • Supervise and manage the budget for the Global Health team, monitor income and expenditures, and uphold precise financial records.
    • Create cash flow forecasts, analyze budget variances, and compile financial statements.
    • Prepare funding summaries, budget scenarios, and reconcile financial statements.
  • Donor Engagement and Reporting
    • Oversee the preparation of donor proposals and reporting, develop budget reports, and identify new funding prospects.
    • Address program and grant execution challenges and ensure adherence to donor guidelines.
  • Grants, Contracts & Compliance Management
    • Manage the contracting and grants processes, maintain necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, respond to inquiries, and engage in audit processes.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Enhance workflows, business planning, and team collaboration through effective tools and strategies.
    • Coordinate with various departments to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong skills in financial management, project coordination, and effective communication.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
