Position Overview

The Finance and Grants Senior Manager for Global Health is tasked with overseeing financial operations, grant reporting, and strategic project evaluations. This role collaborates closely with the Global Health team and other organizational departments to ensure the efficiency of financial, operational, and grant-related activities.

This position is based in Washington, D.C.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Oversight
    • Supervise and manage the budget for the Global Health team, monitor income and expenditures, and ensure precise financial records.
    • Generate cash flow forecasts, analyze budget variances, and prepare financial statements.
    • Create funding summaries, budget scenarios, and reconcile financial statements.
  • Donor Engagement and Reporting
    • Oversee the preparation of donor proposals and reporting, develop budget reports, and explore new funding avenues.
    • Address program and grant execution challenges while ensuring adherence to donor guidelines.
  • Grants, Contracts & Compliance Management
    • Manage the contracting and grants processes, maintain necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with internal policies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, respond to inquiries, and participate in compliance audits.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Enhance workflows, business planning, and team cooperation through effective tools and strategies.
    • Coordinate with various departments to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5-6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficient in financial management, project coordination, and communication.
  • Capable of thriving in a dynamic environment and working collaboratively with team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
