Senior Pre-Award Grant Administrator - Cluster 4, Medical Center

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Pre-Award Grant Administrator will report to the Cluster Research Administrator and collaborate closely with the Pre-Award Grant Administrator and other team members. This position is crucial in ensuring that grant proposals and awards adhere to institutional and sponsor regulations. Key responsibilities include:

Award Review, Negotiation, and Setup
  • Conduct thorough reviews and negotiations of external grants.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external funding organizations.
  • Establish and maintain awards in the financial management system throughout their lifecycle.
  • Oversee the internal routing process for award setups.
  • Serve as the expert for complex funding scenarios, including program projects and training grants.

Proposal Submission
  • Ensure compliance of external proposals with federal and sponsor guidelines.
  • Facilitate the submission of proposals through various sponsor systems.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Specialist to manage eRA Commons accounts.

Subaward Setup
  • Review subaward requests to ensure compliance with grant terms.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in grants management within a university or non-profit setting.
  • Familiarity with NIH funding mechanisms.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving policies and procedures.
  • Strong financial accounting skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Experience with financial systems and cost accounting standards related to grants.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and customer-focused work environment.
  • Professional communication skills for interaction with external sponsors.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in Research Administration.
  • Experience with Workday.
  • Master's degree is a plus.

This position is designated as Telework. Work mode designations are subject to review to align with the evolving needs of the organization.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $54,000 and $100,493.33, determined by various factors including qualifications and experience.
