Job Overview

Dakota DesignStaff, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Architectural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for supporting high-end projects from proposal and design to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Organize and gather information to ensure superior execution of projects, identifying potential inconsistencies and resource requirements or conflicts with the team.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, architects, and contractors to manage deadlines and timelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Read and analyze architectural prints and specifications to understand and translate project requirements for drafting shop drawings with input from management.
  • Quality Control: Ensure adherence to contract specifications and be involved in quality control processes.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Take a team player approach to all projects while also being able to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements.
Requirements
  • Professional Experience: Ideally, 5-10 years of relevant professional experience with window/door design and carpentry/millwork background.
  • Technical Skills: Professional experience with AutoCAD and/or other engineering software is required, along with high proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, high-service-oriented job mentality are essential.
