The Support Specialist

is tasked with delivering personal assistance and daily care services to residents, aimed at enhancing their independence and quality of life, in alignment with the organization's mission and values.


Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with their Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as outlined in their service and care plan. This includes support with eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, and continence.
• Respond promptly to residents' needs while upholding their self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
• Communicate any observed or suspected changes in residents' conditions to a supervisor without delay.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and visitors, adhering to established safety protocols.
• Promote teamwork through collaborative interactions with colleagues and other departments.

Qualifications:
• Experience is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right individual.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• A strong desire to work with the elderly and address their needs is crucial.

• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees, supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.

• Must successfully pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.

• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Senior Living may require team members to be vaccinated, participate in daily screenings, surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
