Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

First Quality is a leading global company with a strong commitment to safety and quality. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer to join our team in McElhattan, PA.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise and leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong EHS culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing technical support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular EHS inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to the team on EHS-related matters.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain EHS training programs for employees.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of EHS incidents and near misses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., environmental science, safety engineering, industrial hygiene).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS, with a strong background in safety engineering and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other software applications.
