We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Geisinger Health System. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records.
Key Responsibilities- Perform standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification, and exposure techniques.
- Operate and maintain all equipment within the modality, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Set up and adjust immobilization and radiation protective equipment and devices as needed.
- Review and analyze patient body size, thickness, age, physical condition, and suspected pathology to perform procedures accurately.
- Report equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations and procedures.
- Participate in educational training of students and contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
- Certification as a Certified Radiology Technologist within 24 months from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
