Senior Principal Semiconductor Foundry Engineer

Raytheon Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Semiconductor Foundry Engineer to join our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions team. As a key member of our III-V process engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and assisting projects related to the capital equipment life cycle, including source selection, acquisition, facilities infrastructure, installation, qualification, sustainment, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:- Serve as a process improvement engineer and collaborate with various engineering work centers of the III-V semiconductor wafer foundry.
- Lead and assist projects for the entire capital equipment life cycle, including source selection, acquisition, facilities infrastructure, installation, qualification, sustainment, and troubleshooting.
- Develop a capital roadmap and identify process and equipment capabilities to support the increase in wafer capacity, product yield, and next-generation technology.
- Lead and assist projects in capital acquisition, process sustainment, yield improvement, rework reduction, equipment cost of ownership, and process development.
- Manipulate large datasets and use statistical analysis to define SPC controls and correlate equipment input parameters to process outputs for improvements in yield, cycle time, process capability, and equipment uptime.
- Create and maintain schedules for tool and process qualifications.
- Identify capacity constraints and opportunities for improvement.
- Frequently work on the foundry floor and interact with various process engineering, equipment engineering, digital technologies, quality, facilities, and operation teams.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 10 years' of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' of prior work experience.
- Experience in semiconductor processing techniques and capital equipment, including photolithography, dry etching, wet chemistry, metals evaporation, sputtering, and backside processing.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- The salary range for this role is $118,000 USD - $246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function, and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
