Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor Foundry Engineer I to join our team at Raytheon in Andover, MA. As a key member of our Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD), you will be responsible for developing, designing, and manufacturing compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a cleanroom environment to handle GaAs and GaN wafers
  • Assist with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes
  • Perform and document optical microscope inspections
  • Perform scanning electron microscope imaging
  • Failure analysis and data analysis
What You Will Learn
  • Wafer fabrication techniques such as lithography, deposition, and etch processes
  • Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques
  • Data analysis and trouble-shooting techniques
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in one or more of the following: Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong academic background
