Objective

The primary aim is to oversee the daily operations of the community in alignment with existing federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities, ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Duties
  • Foster a nurturing and engaging atmosphere, promoting a positive and serene environment throughout the community.
  • Guarantee that each resident obtains the essential medical and psychological services to achieve and sustain optimal mental and physical health.
  • Strategically plan, develop, implement, assess, and oversee all community departments and operations, including programs, activities, policies, and procedures, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Support department heads in formulating and adhering to community policies and procedures while fostering collaboration among all departments.
  • Interpret and ensure adherence to all community policies and procedures by employees, residents, families, visitors, government entities, and the public.
  • Represent the community in company meetings and liaise with the community's owners, medical professionals, external support agencies, ancillary providers, and governmental organizations.
  • Establish and maintain a continuous quality assurance program to address deficiencies and implement effective marketing and public relations strategies.
Human Resource Management
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and retain qualified personnel to lead and manage departmental activities.
  • Supervise department heads in their recruitment, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competent workforce.
  • Maintain and enforce job descriptions and performance evaluations for all staff roles.
  • Guide department heads in scheduling work hours for their teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records management for all personnel in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Delegate administrative authority and accountability to staff as necessary to ensure effective performance.
Financial Management and Planning
  • Analyze and interpret monthly financial reports, providing insights to the community's management.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining robust accounting systems, providing necessary information to management.
  • Stay informed about economic trends and adjust operations accordingly.
  • Prepare annual budgets and allocate resources to sustain community programs and activities for approval.
  • Maintain comprehensive financial records and reports, submitting them to relevant government agencies as required.
  • Authorize the procurement of food, equipment, and supplies to ensure operational needs are met while maintaining a safe environment for residents.
Sales and Marketing Leadership
  • Act as the Sales Leader for the community, managing all sales-related activities.
  • Engage actively in the move-in process, including family consultations and contract finalizations.
  • Oversee external business development initiatives and manage relationships with key referral sources.
  • Effectively navigate the lead management system and strategically address available inventory.
  • Conduct tours and presentations in the absence of the Sales Director and lead weekly sales meetings.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan, updating it quarterly.
  • Ensure all available units are maintained in optimal condition for showings.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in the community's Manager on Duty program during assigned weekends.
  • Engage in various community committees, providing written and/or oral reports to management as necessary.
Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to established safety policies and procedures by all personnel, residents, and visitors.
  • Maintain the community and surrounding areas in good condition, reviewing incident reports and implementing effective accident prevention strategies.
Staff Development
  • Maintain professional development and stay updated on changes in the assisted living sector through ongoing education and training.
  • Assist department heads in planning and executing orientation and training programs for staff.
  • Encourage and participate in in-service training and supervisory development programs.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid Administrator's license (if required by state regulations) and meet all applicable licensing requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state regulations governing assisted living is essential.
  • Must pass a criminal background check as per state requirements.
  • Must have satisfactory credit history.
  • Physical capability to lift, move, and assist with items over twenty-five pounds.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Completion of secondary education and at least two years of undergraduate studies is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities are essential.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.
  • Exhibit patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards the elderly.
