Job Summary

The Senior Tax Accountant - Indirect Taxes will play a key role in the corporate income tax function, including returns, provisions, research, extensions, estimated payments, and audit support.

Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Preparation: Support the compliance and preparation of monthly sales and use tax filings, including collaboration with external providers for timely preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns.
  • Review and Analysis: Review sales and use tax returns prepared by external providers, manage/process sales and use tax payments, and analyze/prepare monthly sales and use tax account reconciliations.
  • Property Tax Management: Support the compliance and preparation of property tax filings, collaborate with external partners for timely preparation and filing of property tax returns, manage/process property tax payments, and review/analyze property tax account reconciliations.
  • Indirect Tax Support: Support other indirect compliance functions and return preparations, research indirect tax issues as required, and communicate results to management.
  • Audit Support: Support/assist with state indirect tax audits and inquiries from state agencies.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Assist with other tax projects/assignments as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Accounting or Tax.
  • Experience: 5+ years of Corporate sales and use/property tax experience.
  • Skills: Strong Knowledge of multi-state sales and use/indirect tax compliance, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented, strong organizational skills for managing deadlines and multiple tasks.
