Role Overview: We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our tax initiatives across the Americas. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing tax strategies that not only optimize our tax position but also ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute tax strategies aimed at enhancing the company's tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Tax Planning Leadership: Spearhead tax planning efforts to effectively reduce tax liabilities and enhance overall tax efficiencies.
  • Regulatory Research: Conduct thorough research and interpretation of evolving tax laws and regulations, assessing their implications on the company's tax landscape.
  • Cross-Departmental Guidance: Provide expert advice and support to various departments on tax-related issues, including transaction structuring, contract assessments, and financial planning.
  • Transfer Pricing Management: Oversee the Global transfer pricing framework for the Americas, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Indirect Tax Oversight: Strategically manage indirect taxes, including sales tax, VAT/GST, and use tax, while promoting governance and compliance through automation.
  • ERP Implementation: Leverage extensive knowledge in implementing ERP changes with a focus on process automation to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Tax Filing Management: Supervise the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local tax returns, covering income, sales/use, property, and other applicable taxes.
  • Collaboration with Auditors: Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and precise completion of tax filings and compliance obligations.
  • Tax Authority Relations: Manage interactions with tax authorities, addressing inquiries or audits as necessary.
  • Team Development: Lead and nurture a team of tax professionals, offering mentorship and growth opportunities.
  • Financial Collaboration: Work closely with finance and accounting teams to guarantee accurate and timely reporting of tax liabilities and provisions.
  • M&A Support: Assist in due diligence and integration processes for mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a CPA or advanced degree is preferred.

Candidates must have extensive experience (15+ years) in corporate tax, with a strong emphasis on US tax and international regulations.

A robust understanding of federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting requirements is essential.

Demonstrated success in developing and implementing tax strategies that deliver business value is required.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills are necessary, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.

Attention to detail, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, is crucial.

Experience in managing and developing a team of tax professionals is expected.

Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with tax software and ERP systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel, is required.

A high level of integrity and professionalism is essential.
