Job Title: Assistant Commercial Property Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist in overseeing day-to-day operations for our commercial properties in Norwalk. The ideal candidate will support the Property Manager in maintaining property appearance, managing tenant relationships, and ensuring smooth property operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing all aspects of property operations, including building maintenance, tenant relations, and vendor coordination.
  • Support the Property Manager in handling tenant requests, including service requests and addressing lease-related inquiries.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure the premises are well-maintained and compliant with safety and building regulations.
  • Assist in organizing and executing community and tenant events, such as blood drives, tenant appreciation days, and vendor visits.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and contractors for necessary repairs, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
  • Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with lease agreements.
  • Oversee rent collection and assist with financial reporting, including preparing budgets, monitoring expenses, and processing invoices.
  • Maintain accurate tenant files and ensure proper documentation for lease agreements, correspondence, and other important property records.
  • Communicate with tenants regarding building updates, events, and other notices.
  • Assist in marketing vacant spaces and coordinating with brokers or agents as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to property management and tenant occupancy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in property management, with a focus on commercial properties.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive tenant relations.
  • Familiarity with lease agreements, building regulations, and property management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and rent collection.
