Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to join our team at the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating building repairs, determining agency asset needs, and providing administrative support for the facilities team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate building repairs with the landlord and ensure timely completion
  • Determine agency asset needs and relay procurement requests to the manager
  • Provide administrative support for the facilities team, including workspace allocation and conference/meeting room setup
  • Ensure security protocols for the facility are followed and maintain accountability for non-IT assets
  • Process small purchase card/procurement requests and prepare for emergency response situations
Requirements
  • Strong customer focus and ability to interact with all levels of employees, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ability to adjust to changing or unexpected facilities-related needs in a timely manner
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Some knowledge of general financial principles and Virginia state procurement practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address Audio Visual (AV) issues in conference rooms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience entering purchase orders and requisitions into eVA
  • Experience working with Visio
