Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to join our team at the Virginia Information Technologies Agency (VITA). As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for coordinating building repairs, determining agency asset needs, and ensuring the central office building is well maintained and provides a conducive and pleasant working environment for staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate building repairs with the landlord and ensure timely completion
  • Determine agency asset needs and relay procurement requests to the manager
  • Allocate workspace and set up conference/meeting rooms
  • Account for telecommunication equipment and administer the agency parking pass program
  • Ensure security protocols for the facility are followed
  • Process small purchase card/procurement requests and prepare for emergency responses
Requirements
  • Strong customer focus and ability to interact with all levels of employees, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ability to adjust to changing or unexpected facilities-related needs in a timely manner
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Some knowledge of general financial principles and Virginia state procurement practices
  • Ability to troubleshoot and address Audio Visual (AV) issues in conference rooms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience entering purchase orders and requisitions into eVA
  • Experience working with Visio
