Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

Schoolcraft Capital is a rapidly growing, boutique multi-family office serving an exclusive number of high-net-worth families, currently managing over $1.2 billion in assets from offices in Denver and Boulder, Colorado.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to acquire new ultra high-net-worth families and drive the growth of Schoolcraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation through intensive research and leveraging both your personal network and Schoolcraft Capital's extensive network, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals.
  • Closing new business and increasing Schoolcraft Capital's overall AUM.
  • Monitoring key industry events, including fundraising rounds, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and other meaningful liquidity events to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Utilizing various tools and sources, such as Salesforce and SEC filings, to enhance and complement existing business development efforts.
  • Reviewing and analyzing prospect statements, including balance sheets, performance reports, estate maps, and holding summaries, to identify opportunities for Schoolcraft Capital to add value.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to create customized investment proposals and presentations that effectively communicate Schoolcraft Capital's value proposition and investment strategies.
  • Supporting Client Advisory Team in the analysis and development of custom materials focused on product/service offerings for prospective relationships.
  • Performing ROI analytics and measuring the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives to optimize business development efforts.
  • Cultivating and maintaining a library of business development tools, such as firm and service offering overviews that are consistent with the Schoolcraft brand.
  • Continuously monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and enhance Schoolcraft Capital's competitive positioning.
  • Contributing to the development and refinement of Schoolcraft Capital's overall business development strategy.

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of experience in the investment management industry, with a proven track record in business development and client acquisition.
  • Local candidates with knowledge and relationships in the Denver/Boulder area strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurial ability.
  • Top-tier academic background; bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, or Marketing; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively articulate and present complex investment strategies to a wide range of audiences.
  • Strong sales acumen and ability to navigate lengthy sales cycles and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Deep network within the high-net-worth and institutional investor community.
  • High level of maturity, ethical standards, and a strong drive to succeed in a competitive business development environment.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
