Job Title: Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Pkaza LLC. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining critical controls systems in data centers and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and wire BAS controllers and field devices, including low-voltage cable terminations
  • Coordinate installation activities for your team, including organizing job site materials, logistics, inventory, tools storage, and security/access
  • Lead installation teams on daily and weekly meetings
  • Support the development and execution of additional services through change orders
  • Perform commissioning-focused design reviews, prepare commissioning test procedures and reports, and coordinate and oversee on-site testing, startup, commissioning, and closeout of BAS/HVAC controls systems
  • Assist software lead with pre-functional and functional testing
  • Execute troubleshooting of BAS systems, including corrective actions
  • Participate in commissioning efforts with external stakeholders
  • Analyze system operation, work with project team to demonstrate system operation, and verify consistency with the contracted scope of work
  • Perform QA/QC of BAS and integrated systems using BAS software tools
  • Provide installation inspections and other closeout duties to ensure customer acceptance
  • Provide markups for shop drawings to document as-built conditions
  • Communicate regularly with subcontractors, project managers, clients, and commissioning agents on project progress
  • Document and track issues and out-of-scope efforts
Requirements:
  • Must be located in the Pacific Northwest
  • Open to traveling to job sites in the region (75% of the time)
  • Critical Facilities/Data Center experience is a must
  • Experience with Distech Controls and Tridium Niagara BAS Platforms is highly preferred
  • Preferably 3-8+ years of experience with BMS/BAS Controls
  • Experience with any of the following systems (JCI, Metasys, Siemens, Honeywell, Automated Logic) is a plus
  • PLC/ALC experience is required
  • Experience with critical HVAC equipment (chillers, air handlers, CRAC/CRAH units, boilers, etc.) is required
  • Requires knowledge of equipment manufacturer's specifications
  • Ability to interpret AE construction drawings, BAS shop drawings, manufacturers' wiring diagrams, standards documentation, submittals, and product data sheets
  • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements
  • Must be able to complete Field Service Reports and Assignments accurately and within a timely manner
  • Analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
  • Candidate must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) is required
  • Previous experience in the Military/Military veterans in all branches with experience in Electrical/Mechanical is a huge plus
  • Requires excellent verbal, written communication skills, and customer relation skills
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefully with good initiatives
  • Client-facing experience and at times serve as primary point of client contact on various projects
  • Ability to successfully work independently; self-starter and should prioritize well
  • Proactive, resourceful, delegator, and a multitasker
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an attention to detail
