Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday - 7:30am - 3:30pm

Position Summary:

The Logistics Operations Specialist is an integral member of a distinguished team tasked with ensuring that high-value, high-security shipments are protected and meet customer expectations for each delivery. This role operates within a specialized business unit characterized by pride, loyalty, and a shared commitment among team members. Our team consists of individuals who have undergone rigorous training and assessment in DeSpir's In Transit Security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguards the integrity of cargo during transit by diligently implementing DeSpir's In Transit Security Procedures.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves process issues as they arise while keeping customers informed.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination across all business units to maintain shipment integrity.
  • Performs essential data entry and confirms key milestones in the In Transit Security process, utilizing Mcleod and other systems.
  • Monitors In Transit Security through various systems to ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries.
  • Ensures all documentation, including temperature logs, photographs, and proof of delivery, is accurately uploaded to the load documents for billing purposes.
  • Engages in risk management with a strong emphasis on security best practices and protocols.
  • Addresses escalations related to suspicious activities concerning customer freight.
  • Updates customer portals in accordance with specific customer requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferred college degree in supply chain management.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in security and compliance or customer service.
  • At least three years of logistics experience is essential for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with TSA and GDP practices is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of the supply chain industry, including regulations and customer expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrates high emotional intelligence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • Analytical mindset for problem-solving.
  • Personality traits: self-confident, self-motivated, extroverted, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate drivers' temperature requirements, mileage, and hours of service during transit.
  • Willingness to work in the office five days a week, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
