About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at DeSpir Logistics LLC. As an Account Growth Specialist, you will be responsible for driving account-specific outreach to maintain existing business and uncover growth opportunities within existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead Account Growth: Foster and nurture strong relationships with existing customers to drive account growth and expansion.
  • Optimize Customer Satisfaction and Revenue: Oversee transactional and contractual freight opportunities to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue optimization.
  • Proactive Outreach: Proactively make phone calls to existing customers to identify new opportunities and contribute to the expansion of the business portfolio.
  • Develop and Maintain SOPs: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide and optimize service performance.
  • Regularly Update SOPs: Ensure SOPs are regularly updated to reflect industry best practices and evolving customer needs.
  • Drive Peak Performance Initiatives: Drive peak performance initiatives to enter and grow accounts, emphasizing the importance of robust customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team: Collaborate with the sales team to uncover potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Conduct Business Reviews: Conduct Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews with customers collaboratively with Sales Executives, Quality Coordinators, and Head of Strategic Business Development to evaluate performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Align Customer Expectations: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer expectations and service delivery.
  • Forecasting and Insights: Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Business Development to assist in forecasting for the assigned customers, providing valuable insights and data to support accurate predictions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3 years' experience within transportation, logistics, and/or brokerage environment preferred.
  • Skills: Develops strong phone presence and ability to overcome customer objections to sell DeSpir transportation services with confidence. Experience with CRM preferred. Proven track record in sales, business development, account management, and relationship building. Knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed within the industry. Ability to multi-task and work well with others in a fast-paced environment within strict time frames. Passionate about customer service and solving problems with customer experience in mind. Mathematics and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Entrepreneurial, pro-active spirit.
