Your Role in Making a Difference

As a Medical Director, you will oversee medical operations and provide guidance in line with company regulations and institutional standards. You will ensure that necessary documentation is submitted to the appropriate Medical Director or designee to facilitate service monitoring and compliance with contracts. Additionally, you will communicate any changes in coverage schedules and assist in arranging medical service coverage during extended absences.

Key Responsibilities


• Provide clinical leadership to the facility's medical program, following established policies for admissions, transfers, and referrals.

• Supervise care provided by staff and offer consultation to all professionals within the organization.

• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to identify challenges and propose solutions to enhance patient outcomes, including the establishment of Chronic Care Clinics.

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to the therapeutic regimen formulary, while providing emergency care and responding effectively in urgent situations.

• Act as a liaison with community healthcare providers, consult with medical specialists, and review and approve treatment protocols and clinical policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must possess and maintain a valid medical license in the state of employment.
  • Must hold a current DEA registration.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Must maintain privileges and fulfill CME requirements for ongoing medical practice in the state.
