Your Role in Making a Difference

As a Medical Director, you will oversee medical operations and provide guidance in line with company security protocols and institutional regulations. You will ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted to the Regional or Corporate Medical Director or their designee to monitor service delivery and compliance with contracts. Additionally, you will be responsible for informing the Regional or Corporate Medical Director and Health Services Administrator of any changes in coverage schedules and assist in arranging medical service coverage during extended absences.

Core Responsibilities


• Provide clinical leadership to the facility's medical program, following established policies for admissions, transfers, and referrals.

• Supervise the care provided by other staff and offer consultation to all professionals within the system.

• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to identify challenges and propose solutions to enhance patient outcomes, including the establishment of Chronic Care Clinics.

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with therapeutic regimen guidelines, while providing emergency care on-site and responding appropriately in urgent situations.

• Act as a liaison with community healthcare providers, consult with medical specialists, and review and approve treatment protocols and clinical policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must hold and maintain current licensure in the state of employment.
  • Maintain a current DEA registration.
  • Must obtain and sustain CPR certification.
  • Maintain privileges and continue education requirements for ongoing medical practice in the state.
