Your Role in Making a Difference

As a Medical Director, you will oversee medical operations and provide guidance in alignment with company policies and institutional regulations. You will ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted to the appropriate medical leadership to monitor compliance with service agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating any changes in medical coverage and facilitating arrangements for service continuity during your absence.

Key Responsibilities


• Provide clinical leadership for the facility's medical program, following established policies for admissions, transfers, and referrals.

• Supervise the care provided by other healthcare professionals and offer expert consultation across the organization.

• Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to identify challenges and propose solutions aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, including the establishment of Chronic Care Clinics.

• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with therapeutic protocols, while also delivering emergency care and responding effectively in urgent situations.

• Act as a liaison with community healthcare providers, consult with specialists, and review and approve clinical protocols and policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school.

Experience

  • Preferred experience in Family Practice, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Public Health.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must possess and maintain a valid medical license in the state of employment.
  • Current DEA registration required.
  • Must obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • Maintain privileges and fulfill CME requirements for ongoing medical practice in the state.
