Your Responsibilities:

As an Employee Benefits Administrator, you will oversee the daily management of employee benefits and wellness initiatives. In this capacity, you will act as the main resource for health and welfare benefits, workers' compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and disability matters. Your role will involve educating employees on benefits-related inquiries, including eligibility, coverage options, and policy details, while also managing leave tracking and administration. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the HR Information Systems (HRIS) team to ensure the integrity of benefits data across multiple platforms.

  • Conduct benefits reconciliations and prepare necessary change files.
  • Review and validate retirement/401k contributions and loan documentation for accuracy, and manage various retirement plan tasks such as new enrollments and rollovers.
  • Process benefits invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll departments to facilitate benefit reimbursements and deductions, making adjustments as required.
  • Assist HR and Benefits Centers of Excellence (COE) teams with various benefits and wellness initiatives, including Open Enrollment and compliance audits.
  • Ensure that all benefit events requiring Evidence of Insurability (EOI) are accurately processed and that associated benefits coverage is correct.
  • Gather and prepare data for annual compliance testing related to 401k and workers' compensation.
  • Manage employee leaves of absence, coordinating with vendors, HR, Payroll, and management.
  • Oversee the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) process.
  • Administer all changes in benefits within related HR systems.
  • Verify the accuracy of benefit transactions in SAP, SuccessFactors, and Paylocity, and with benefit providers.
  • Work with the HRIS team to resolve any data discrepancies.
  • Manage statutory benefits, providing updated policy guidelines.
  • Administer C.O.B.R.A. requirements, ensuring eligibility and communication with eligible individuals.
  • Promote new or enhanced employee benefits to improve employer-employee relations.
  • Interpret and clarify Human Resources policies and procedures to managers, employees, and applicants.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in human resources or HRIS, with at least two (2) years focused on employee benefits and leave management, ideally in a corporate, multi-state environment, or a combination of education and experience.
