About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef & Kitchen Operations Specialist to lead our culinary team in providing exceptional food services to our clients. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $18-$23 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including family meals, opportunities for overtime, major holidays off, and growth and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage kitchen operations, including supervising and coordinating staff during shifts.
  2. Cook a variety of dishes, including meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables, using various kitchen equipment.
  3. Prepare dishes from scratch following recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  4. Teach and mentor team members, sharing menu knowledge and cooking techniques.
  5. Assist with menu planning and introduce new dishes as requested by management.
  6. Ensure adherence to quality standards, food safety, and hygiene practices.
  7. Oversee inventory management, including placing supply orders and maintaining food logs.
  8. Execute opening and closing duties, such as prepping for the next day, managing inventory, and validating timekeeping records.
  9. Perform hands-on tasks such as prepping, cooking, and dishwashing as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of stamina with a demanding schedule and workload.
  • A valid Texas driver's license.
  • Experience in high-volume kitchens.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to execute recipes, manage kitchen equipment, and maintain high standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
