Position Overview: The Quality Inspector, reporting directly to the Quality Manager, is responsible for ensuring that parts and processes align with operational work instructions and customer specifications, including technical drawings. This role is designated for the WEEKEND shift, working Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totaling 36 hours with an additional 4-hour bonus, resulting in a total of 40 hours, and includes a 25% shift differential.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections and approve incoming materials and parts by verifying compliance with work instructions, drawings, and specifications, performing visual and measurement tests, and rejecting non-compliant materials or parts. Perform inspections on in-process and final production parts, ensuring adherence to work instructions and specifications, documenting non-conforming parts in the relevant database. Maintain accurate records of testing and data, such as the number of defective products and dimensional results, in accordance with Quality procedures. Ensure measurement equipment is functional by adhering to operating instructions and calibration standards, and requesting repairs as necessary. Complete DSQR training and achieve DSQR certification to fulfill customer requirements. Utilize inspection tools and automated systems for conducting part inspections. Verify first pieces at the operation, approving parts for processing. Communicate the condition of inspected parts clearly, both verbally and in writing. Use electronic databases for reporting non-conformances and accessing work instructions. Carry out administrative tasks in line with departmental practices. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED with a strong understanding of trigonometry. A minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing, including operational inspection or supporting quality inspection with handheld gauges. Proficient knowledge and application of GD&T. Experience with DSQR/DPRV is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and instructions to understand quality expectations for parts or materials. Basic computer skills, including data entry. Capable of reading and interpreting customer and industry specifications.
