Position: Mechanical Quality Assurance Specialist

Division: Voyager Space - Exploration (ZIN Technologies)

Work Arrangement: Full Time - 100% Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and authorize engineering documentation, analyses, and process plans to ensure adherence to quality and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments on mechanical products.
  • Act as a Quality Assurance representative during product testing.
  • Engage in project meetings to provide quality insights.
  • Identify and report nonconforming products.
  • Assist project teams in making informed decisions regarding quality compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to address quality and process challenges.
  • Execute mandatory inspections as per customer specifications.
  • Review assembly documentation and provide final approval.
  • Perform receiving inspections to verify product compliance.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, particularly with electro/mechanical systems used in aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with the aerospace project lifecycle.
  • At least 2 years of experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Knowledge of NASA requirements for spaceflight.
  • Background in space program projects (e.g., Constellation, Space Station, Commercial).
  • Familiarity with IPC workmanship standards.
