About the Role:

Southern Architecture Workshop, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect to lead and manage architectural projects from conception through completion. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of projects, ensuring design excellence, and collaborating effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop architectural projects, ensuring design excellence, clear and positive collaboration among our team and clients, and the technical integrity of our projects.
  • Assist in the design of unique and compelling solutions for all projects at all phases.
  • Develop and present design concepts, including sketches, renderings, and presentations.
  • Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Select appropriate materials and assemblies, and assist with detail development.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met and the contract documents accurately and clearly represent those requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve design or construction issues.
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets, addressing any changes or challenges that arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of project types.
  • Licensed Architect preferred.
  • LEED Accredited Professional preferred.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices.
  • Creative and curious about how things are made.
