The Opportunity

  • This role is designated as remote.
  • Qualified candidates must reside in the Los Angeles, CA area.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • This position requires working Wednesday through Sunday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Travel requirements are approximately 30%.

You will provide essential technical support solutions, including installation, corrective maintenance, and proactive service. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations by collaborating with sales, marketing, and other departments while adhering to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the representative of Abbott's Diagnostic Division to our clients.
  • Deliver on-site support to Abbott Diagnostic Division customers.
  • Assist field personnel in achieving district business objectives.
  • Guide and mentor junior Field Service Representatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints related to a variety of complex instruments.
  • Adhere to Quality System protocols by documenting complaint resolutions accurately and promptly.
  • Comply with regulatory and safety procedures.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and installations as scheduled.

Team Integration

  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.
  • Manage time, territory, and inventory efficiently.
  • Be available for standby and after-hours support.
  • Adapt to flexible working hours and unpredictable travel demands.
  • Provide critical account support across various territories.
  • Take ownership of customer issues until resolution or proper handoff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Biomedical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Medical Technology.
  • Experience interfacing with customers in a technical capacity.

Additional Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; capable of thriving in team environments and independently; proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Remote Computing); excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
