Position Overview:

The role of Senior Controls Engineer is crucial within our organization. You will be part of a dynamic team of over 1500 professionals across our numerous offices, working collaboratively with clients to address complex challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation solutions, engaging in all phases of automation projects from drafting design specifications to software configuration, testing, and commissioning of high-speed automated manufacturing processes.
  • Create detailed project documentation and drawings to fulfill client specifications for automation control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve automation-related issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with teams, clients, and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Configure software and hardware packages in alignment with client design requirements.
  • Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Cimplicity, Wonderware, Ignition).
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders regularly.
  • Oversee engineering projects and manage deliverables to meet established timelines and scopes.
  • Coordinate site construction and installation activities.
  • Provide on-site support during the start-up of integrated control systems.
  • Utilize your expertise to enhance client relationships and contribute to team success.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in control systems and troubleshooting within high-pressure environments.
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a controls engineer in automated processes/system integration, particularly in food, beverage, consumer health, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Expertise in designing and creating automation control systems (PLC, SCADA).
  • Strong understanding of industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A).
  • Solid grasp of instrumentation and controls (I&C) principles.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience with field instrumentation, control system installation, and configuration.
  • Knowledge of machine safety applications, electrical power distribution, and control panel design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report generation and presentations.
  • Willingness to travel for project-related activities, including installations, training, and industry events.
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
