Job Summary

CMT Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled Rental Assistance Application Specialist to join our team. As an ERAP Reviewer/Processor, you will play a critical role in determining program eligibility, reviewing and validating application supporting documentation, and working directly with tenants and landlords to provide Emergency Rental Assistance to individuals affected by the pandemic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Web-based Emergency Rental Assistance applications to determine eligibility and make appropriate assistance recommendations.
  • Examine and evaluate all documents to ensure authenticity and accuracy.
  • Calculate income, deductions, exemptions, and rental assistance amounts.
  • Communicate with applicants to obtain outstanding documentation and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure applicant files are complete and concise, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.
  • Advise tenants and landlords on program regulations, administrative policies, and procedures.
  • Complete reports to detail application assignment status and reasons for processing delays.
  • Participate in bi-weekly team meetings to discuss best practices and recommendations for improving workflow.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements
  • Must have ERAP Reviewer/Processor experience.
  • Must have 1 year of experience working with State and/or federally funded programs.
  • Proven ability to work across organizations with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Good telephone etiquette and a working internet connection.
  • Proven experience in MS Office Applications.
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and spelling ability.
  • Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven environment.
  • Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to generate creative ideas while working independently and collaboratively.
Working Conditions
  • The work entails physical activities including walking, standing, bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying possibly heavy objects.
  • The work requires concentration and attention for long periods.
  • The work is performed in a stationary position for long periods.
Working Hours
  • Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (hours may vary).
