Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in thorough palliative care evaluations and the development of care plans.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to equality, fairness, and cultural sensitivity while delivering palliative care services to a diverse patient population.
  • Utilize prescriptive authority judiciously in managing complex symptoms, including the responsible use of opiates and controlled substances.
  • Provide palliative care services through various methods, including in-person consultations, video calls, and telephonic support.
  • Engage in extra-clinical activities that promote education, clinical ethics, team collaboration, quality enhancement, and clinical innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to establish and expand a leading palliative care service line.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care.
  • Possess or be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.
  • Work visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
