Research Publication Support Specialist

Position Summary:
The McConnell Group, Inc. is a prominent health science organization dedicated to providing a wide array of professional and technical services aimed at advancing the success of businesses in a dynamic environment. Our commitment extends to supporting biomedical research to improve health outcomes for both humans and animals. We are currently seeking a Publications Clearance Program Support Assistant to contribute to our operations.
Role Responsibilities:
The role of the Publications Clearance Program Support Assistant encompasses overseeing the daily functions of the Command Publication and Research Services Department. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating weekly training sessions, which involves organizing venues, preparing necessary materials, and distributing invitations and completion certificates.
- Implementing internal quality enhancement initiatives for operational processes, including managing correspondence and maintaining databases.
- Conducting regular audits of databases to verify the accuracy of information and address any discrepancies.
- Generating monthly and periodic reports for relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Coordinating administrative support for research documents under review by various committees.
- Preparing briefing materials for senior management and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to uphold regulatory compliance.
- Executing additional research support tasks as necessary, including managing electronic communications.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience in coordinating assessments to ensure that policies and instructions are current, alongside maintaining tracking systems for publication submissions.
- Strong project management and administrative support capabilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with standard office equipment.
- A background in customer service operations and adherence to compliance standards at various levels.
Educational Background:
Candidates should have:
- An Associate's Degree in any discipline, or
- A minimum of three years of experience in management and administrative services, demonstrating relevant professional knowledge and skills.
