About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AV Installation Specialist to join our team at DMS, a global leader in video collaboration and custom AV solutions. As an AV Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Zoom Room projects, providing exceptional customer support, and collaborating with our team to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and User Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Zoom Rooms and general Zoom inquiries, providing timely and effective support to our clients.
  • Training and Support: Train and support Level 1 and other technical staff on Zoom Room operations, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties efficiently.
  • Executive Support: Provide executive support and training to executive administrators as needed, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitoring and Proactive Support: Monitor events, provide proactive support, and perform system optimization to ensure the smooth operation of our Zoom Rooms.
  • Validation and Escalation: Validate new software and hardware, including beta versions, and escalate issues to Zoom Engineering if necessary.
  • Recording and Reporting: Record and report issues, including case tracking and weekly/monthly reporting, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install, repair, and configure Zoom Rooms, ensuring they meet our clients' requirements and expectations.
  • Documentation and Inventory: Document and inventory Zoom Room and Phone appliances, ensuring accurate records and efficient inventory management.
  • Provisioning and Setup: Provision and set up customer-approved hardware, creating and configuring Zoom Room account profiles as needed.
  • Tier 1 Support: Assist as Tier 1 for networkable Zoom and Crestron appliances that may be offline during validation.
  • Site Surveys and Validation: Perform site surveys during handoff from A/V integrators to ensure rooms are complete and ready for validation, and perform functional validation of each Zoom Room to ensure it meets our clients' requirements.
  • Zoom Phone Rollout: Assist with the Zoom Phone rollout as time permits, ensuring a seamless transition and minimal disruption to our clients' operations.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Zoom Room, Zoom Phone, Zoom Portal, video, audio, and control line drawings, and mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge and Experience: Knowledge and understanding of the IT industry environment and business needs, as well as the Audio Visual and Video Collaboration industry.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work well with others to achieve common goals.
  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

Varying work environment depending on client site, with physical demands requiring a high level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment.

Position Type and Required Education and Experience

Full-time position, 40 hours per week, requiring experience in a Telephony Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a full clean driving license and passport.
