Job Title: Healthcare Navigator

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Navigator. This role involves providing information and assistance to individuals seeking health coverage, healthcare, and other local resources to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess good organizational and time-management skills. A background in social services or business administration is preferred, but not required.

Estimated Salary: $20.00 per hour

Job Description:

  • Provide information and assistance to individuals seeking health coverage, healthcare, and other local resources.
  • Help eligible individuals navigate health insurance options, public programs, and Sea Mar services.
  • Aid newly assigned and high-risk patients in scheduling initial appointments for medical, dental, and care management services.
  • Collaborate with local organizations, agencies, institutions, and businesses to establish referral relationships.
  • Maintain daily activity records and submit progress reports in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex documents, reports, and data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
