Position Overview

As a Patient Account Representative at Exceptional Healthcare Inc., you will play a crucial role in the seamless management of patient billing and account processes.

Your duties will encompass the full spectrum of account management—from processing claims and securing payments to addressing concerns and assisting patients with clarity and compassion.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process and oversee patient claims to ensure efficiency
  • Facilitate payment collection, negotiate outstanding balances, and support repayment plans
  • Generate invoices and clarify insurance benefits for patients
  • Promptly resolve account-related inquiries with both patients and insurance providers

Qualifications:
  • A High School Diploma or GED, along with relevant experience in medical billing, collections, and customer service
  • Proficiency in EMRs and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • A solid understanding of insurance reimbursement protocols and the revenue cycle
  • Strong analytical skills with a good grasp of calculations and medical terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English required; Spanish preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple accounts
  • Willingness to manage claims, appeals, and denials to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Communicate areas of concern or improvement to management
  • Update patient demographic data and initiate necessary account adjustments
  • Capability to work for extended periods on a computer
