  • Accurately processing and managing patient claims throughout the billing cycle.
  • Collecting payments, negotiating overdue balances, and facilitating repayment plans.
  • Generating detailed bills and clarifying insurance benefits for patients.
  • Resolving account-related inquiries efficiently with both patients and insurance providers.

To excel in this position, you should possess:
  • A High School Diploma or GED, along with relevant experience in medical billing, collections, and customer service.
  • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A solid understanding of insurance reimbursement processes and the revenue cycle.
  • Strong analytical skills and a comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and calculations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (English is required; Spanish is a plus).
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple accounts.
  • A willingness to address claims, appeals, and denials to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • The capability to communicate areas of concern or improvement to management.
  • Experience in updating patient demographic information and initiating account adjustments.
  • The ability to work for extended periods on a computer.


In this role, you will not only be a financial coordinator but also a trusted resource, assisting patients in navigating the complexities of healthcare finances.
