The Accounts Receivable Specialist in Medical Billing plays a crucial role in managing and following up on insurance claims. This position requires timely completion of tasks as directed by the Accounts Receivable Manager. Adherence to legal billing standards is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment dedicated to delivering exceptional service to healthcare providers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct follow-ups on all assigned insurance claims to secure appropriate reimbursements.
  • Efficiently process assigned accounts receivable work lists as provided by management.
  • Engage with insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies and issues.
  • Identify and recommend accounts for write-off through Adjustment Requests.
  • Submit claims to the appropriate state healthcare programs.
  • Address and rectify any billing discrepancies for patients covered by state programs.
  • Accurately document patient accounts to facilitate the processing and payment of claims.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Commercial Insurance, Medicare Compliance, and state healthcare programs.
  • Proficient in medical billing software.
  • Experience in processing medical claims.
  • Minimum of 1 year of medical billing experience required.
  • Associate's Degree is mandatory.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity is essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are crucial.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, with 8-hour workdays.
